The ICA Fund for the International Development of Archives’ (FIDA) role is to support the development of archives and archivists in countries, regions and communities where archives and records provision could be strengthened due to lack of resources or training opportunities, or for other reasons.

The FIDA Call for Projects is currently open! The FIDA Board of Directors now invites all ICA members to submit proposals for projects and initiatives planned for 2024. 

We would like to thank all the applicants who submitted their proposals for the FIDA Call for Projects 2023. The FIDA Boards of Directors had the chance to assess initiatives from different parts of the world, including Zimbabwe, Chile, Ecuador, Angola and Kiribati, among others.
