ICA Congress 2016. After a stimulating week of workshops, posters, presentations and exhibitions, the ICA Congress in Seoul closed with the joint signing and release of a joint communique.

As well as the usual business, the Executive Board at its meeting in Seoul, received the final report of the review of the Branches and accepted its recommendations. The Branches view was that more communications between Sections and Branches would be beneficial and lead to improved cooperation.

ICA’s Programme Commission’s (PCOM) meeting approved the HRWG Basic Principles as a working document, discussed PCOM’s priorities, challenges and resources, approved the Business Plan, discussed the implementation of the ICA Marketing Plan and learned about new initiatives in the New Professionals and Africa Programmes.

WORKSHOP 6 : RECORDKEEPING IN THE DIGITAL AGE W006 Analysing Information Culture Gillian OLIVER, Eric BOAMAH, Lydia LORIENTE Very interesting workshop on information culture and understanding the people element of achieving records management goals - takeaway message was that it's really important to build relationships, and analysing the values in an organisation can help recordkeepers find ways to better communicate our aims.
