The call for nominations for the Vice President Programmes is now open and will remain open until 13 August 2021.

In 2020, the ICA governance meetings (Executive Board and Programme Commission), were held virtually bringing together members from all over the world. In 2021, due to the current circumstances, the ICA will host these meetings in the same format to discuss key topics for the year.

The ICA Programme Commission (PCOM) provides bursary awards to 10 or more ICA Members who have submissions accepted for presentation at the Annual Conference.

On Sunday April 28th, more than 15 PCOM members gathered for the first meeting of the year in Abu Dhabi for discussing the last updates of this ICA professional commission.

Access the draft versions of the updated ISO 16175 standard - ICA members only, and send your comments to ICA's liaison to ISO, Adrian Cunningham, before the end of April.

ICA Governance meetings were held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November in Yaoundé, Cameroon, before the opening of the Annual Conference. Members of the Programme Commission gathered to discuss the Programme’s achievements and its strategy for the future.

The Programme commisssion (PCOM) has contributed vastly to the ALA-ICA Annual Conference’s professional programme in Mexico City. The variety of workshops and overall programme in this year’s Conference is impressive.  During its meeting in Archivo General de la Nation PCOM reviewed the finances from 2017, and its allocation of 200 000 euros. This year was marked by the natural disasters that effected archives in the Caribbean and Mexico. PCOM has aided the disaster areas. The ICA needs to build a clear structure and mechanisms to manage these procedures in the future.
