After a wonderful five days, today we finally concluded proceedings at the ICA Congress Abu Dhabi 2023. The morning’s events and closing ceremony offered us a final chance to reflect upon what we have each learned and experienced during this last week. We can now begin to think about how we can use what we have discovered in Abu Dhabi to enrich our own work, wherever we come from. Although today’s programme was shorter in length, it offered no shortage of interesting moments and enriching content! Read on for our highlights.

We can’t believe that it’s already day 3! As the third day of ICA Congress Abu Dhabi 2023 draws to a close, we have once again had the privilege to take part in a richly filled day of activities, speeches, and interchange. In this newsletter you will catch a glimpse of the day’s events, featuring a variety of topics presented by a diverse and representative selection of our community, there truly is something for everyone at Congress! 

The second day of the ICA Congress Abu Dhabi 2023 was packed full of sessions covering a huge variety of topics, addresses from our keynote speakers, exciting product demonstrations, and a fascinating selection of side events. For those of you unable to join us here in Abu Dhabi, this newsletter is here to give you a glimpse of what has been another thought-provoking and insightful day full of exchange, sharing, and discovery. 

At long last, today (10 October) marks the official start of ICA Congress Abu Dhabi 2023! Following the Opening Ceremony, which included remarks by ICA President Josée Kirps, was a keynote address delivered by the former President of the French Republic, François Hollande. This kicked off our professional programme, which encompassed a wide variety of presentations, meetings, and parallel activities. Keep reading to learn more about what took place today!

Today, 9 October, was the unofficial start of the ICA Congress Abu Dhabi 2023! While the official professional programme starts tomorrow, Day 0 as we call it, featured engaging workshops and ICA meetings. Keep reading to learn more about what took place today!  Workshop 1 - The Power of Archives: Enriching knowledge societies through educational programme design 

The final version of the Programme for the ICA Congress Abu Dhabi 2023 has now been published! Some of the latest additions to the Programme include details on which of the keynote speakers will speak each day, a link to the full schedule of ICA Meetings, as well as information on the Side Programme.
