The 11th Joint Technical Symposium (JTS) will take place on 3–4 March 2026 at the Arc Cinema, National Film and Sound Archive of Australia in Canberra. Organized by the CCAAA, this major international event will be held in Australia for the first time. Proposals are invited until 15 October 2025, addressing themes such as new technologies for audiovisual preservation, climate impacts, collection safety, and the future of magnetic media. 18 September 2025

The International Council on Archives (ICA) is proud to share the latest updates of its support to Ukrainian institutions to safeguard their archival heritage. From 30 January to 21 February 2025 and from 7 to 21 May 2025, over 60 archivists representing 30 Ukrainian archives partook in online training facilitated by the ICA. Across eight sessions, participants were provided with the skills and knowledge of how to manage at-risk archives in times of crisis through the key areas of digitisation, digital preservation, and emergency response. As part of the New Professionals Programme, a global cohort of emerging professionals is paired with experienced mentors who share their knowledge and guidance.
